COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, UT (April 13, 2018) — Wasatch Recovery Treatment Center (WRTC), Salt Lake’s premier substance abuse residential rehabilitation treatment center will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of the completion and grand opening of a new outpatient building, which will provide additional structured living space for clients attending treatment.
While the current Utah based facility is one of the few standing in the way of the rampant opiate epidemic sweeping the nation, the new addition to the campus will add additional capacity for the treatment center as well as functionality.
“This building was strategically designed with the patients’ needs in mind,” says Corey Markisich, Executive Director of WRTC. “It essentially feels like a home while also functioning as a highly effective treatment facility.”
According to management, the new building will bring a total of four new group rooms as well as a state of the art yoga studio to the center and is conveniently located to public transportation, which will provide opportunities for clients to more easily seek employment.
“This new building really is a dream come true for a lot of people in the community, says Markisich. “Not only are we going to be able to help more people with their recovery efforts but also provide them with more effective tools to help them to continue to stay addiction free.”
And there is more to come according to Markisich, the organization is also in the process of completing town homes, which would make WRTC a standalone campus, one of the few in the state of Utah.
“We’re looking forward to the future at Wasatch Recovery Treatment Center,” says Markisich “More importantly, we’re looking forward to helping our clients live addiction free.”
The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building and open house event will be held Tuesday, April 17 from 2 p. m. to 3 p. m. at 7869 South 700 East Sandy, Utah 84070 and will be co-hosted by The Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce.
